Chantel Robinson is a singer from Northern California whose influences include Mariah Carey, Joni Mitchell, and Prince. She began singing in the cradle and hasn't stopped since. Performing at venues throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, including the Plush Room, she has placed in several contests. A Top 10 finalist in the Northern California Idol Competition in 2003, and Grand Prize Winner in Alice Radio’s competition at Ruby Skye in 2005, Chantel’s vocal stylings have been described as refreshing and sultry, and she is often called a “powerhouse” compared to the likes of Mariah Carey and Kelly Clarkson. Chantel is now working with songwriter/producer Jeff Crerie of utmosis, recording original material and ultimately working towards a debut album.
